ABOUT US:

During our childhood years, we lived in the lower Rio Grande Valley. Severo and Angelita Reyna's children (our parents) did most of the work using the family truck to transport fruit and vegetable to and from different areas in the Valley. Later, when his children were preteens and younger the family became migrant workers. When the "Bracero Program" started in the 1940s, Severo Reyna embarked on the possibility of making a better living by contracting braceros to go pick cotton in Arkansas and other areas in the Midwest. Severo's  family went with him.  Sometimes the children changed to a new school five or more times during the school year.

After the 1950?s our family started to migrate towards the mideast.

WEEKENDS WERE FOR HAVING FUN!

As migrant workers we worked hard, however our papa Severo was in someways a kid at heart. Sundays was always a FUN  DAY, it always started out by going to church followed by different places to visit.
